Job summary

AWD online is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to own a varied generalist remit in a fast-paced SME. You will support recruitment, HR operations, employee relations, HR reporting and people-focused process improvements across the UK business.

You will leverage HR technology, data and AI tools to streamline documentation, reporting and manager self-service, while ensuring compliance with UK employment law and GDPR.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
• Demonstrable generalist HR experience, advisory or similar role.
• End-to-end recruitment experience across multiple roles.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations support.
• Experience in an SME environment, MSP or professional services is a plus.
• Experience coaching and advising managers.
• Strong HR systems knowledge and data handling.
• Excellent communication and prioritisation skills.
• Experience using AI tools to improve HR processes and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment from vacancy through offer and onboarding.
• Oversee HR operations, employee relations and compliance activities.
• Maintain HRIS accuracy and HR data integrity.
• Produce HR reports, dashboards and people metrics.
• Support onboarding, probation and benefits administration.
• Advise managers on fair, consistent people guidance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements using AI tools.
• Support HR projects across onboarding, engagement and systems.
