HR Generalist (Part-Time, Consulting)
Financial Services Contract / Freelance = 3-5 Days per Month
Hybrid, Location: London (with occasional office attendance)
7-HRc/RVFFA

About the Client:
We are supporting a highly regarded financial services partnership of around 45 employees. The business seeks a part-time HR Generalist on a consulting basis to support the business through a period of change.

Applicants must be available to start in June at the latest.

The HR Generalist role:

This is a broad and hands-on position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys variety, is confident working autonomously, and can balance both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day admin. The role involves supporting a close-knit team through key seasonal processes, and peak support needed in July and August:

  • Liaising with external payroll consultants and approving final payroll
  • Managing pay rises, bonuses, and pension/benefits updates
  • Supporting recruitment processes for admin staff, interns, and temps
  • Overseeing onboarding, offboarding, and intern programme coordination
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and updating handbooks and policies accordingly
  • Coordinating with external benefits providers and reviewing service offerings
  • Supporting performance processes, appraisals, and FCA compliance requirements
  • Providing briefing papers and policy updates to the Executive Committee
  • Attending approximately ExCo meetings (remotely or in-person)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven HR generalist experience, ideally within professional or financial services
  • Proactive, self-sufficient, and comfortable working with minimal supervision
  • Can operate at both strategic and administrative levels
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills

Additional Details:

  • Start Date: June 2025
  • Key Months: July (bonus cycle), August (partnership distribution)
  • Structure: Contract / freelance basis
  • Time Commitment: 3-5 days per month
  • Location: Hybrid working with some in-office attendance
  • Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
