Job summary

Southern Water is hiring a People Advisor for Worthing on a hybrid basis. You will be the first point of contact for employees, providing HR advice aligned with policies, procedures and legal requirements.

Responsibilities include employment law, employee relations, staff movements, reward and performance, L&D, recruitment and selection. In this 12-month fixed-term contract, you will log queries, escalate where needed, monitor HR KPIs, and coach junior team members while ensuring processes align

Qualifications

• Experience providing HR advisory services.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
• Experience with HR systems and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide a dedicated HR advisory service on employment and employee relations matters per set HR policies and best practice.
• Respond to inbound enquiries via telephone and written channels; log outcomes and reference numbers.
• Co-ordinate administrative HR processes (pre-employment checks, references, health surveillance, eye care vouchers).
• Escalate to People Services Managers for deeper investigations while ensuring KPI targets are met.
• Coach junior members of the People Services Team.
