Job summary

Wabtec, a leading rail technology company, seeks an experienced HR People & Operations Coordinator for the LH Group in Burton upon Trent. You’ll provide HR admin support across the employee lifecycle and generate HR data reports to support business decisions.

The role emphasises accurate records, GDPR compliance, onboarding, and building dashboards in Excel/Power BI and HRIS to monitor headcount, turnover, absence and diversity. On-site, permanent, full-time.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Administrator/HR Coordinator or similar HR support role.
• Experience maintaining HR systems and employee records.
• Experience producing reports and analyzing data.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Creating HR dashboards and management information reports (desirable).
• Power BI or other business reporting tools (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Manage full employee lifecycles (starters, changes, leavers) and employment contracts/offers.
• Maintain GDPR-compliant employee records, files, absence, and holiday data.
• Support onboarding, inductions, probation reviews, and HR inbox queries.
• Assist HR Managers with employee relations and meeting documentation.
• Update and maintain HRIS, databases, reporting lines, and headcount data.
• Audit employee data regularly to ensure accuracy and produce workforce reports.
• Build and maintain HR dashboards (Excel, Power BI, HRIS) for weekly/monthly KPIs.
• Monitor key metrics (headcount, turnover, absence, recruitment, diversity, training, retention).
• Analyse data to spot trends and support workforce planning.
• Ensure HR processes follow employment law, company policy, and GDPR.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and support audits with accurate records.
