Job description

  • Employee Type FT Fixed Term Contract
Description

We are looking for an HR Coordinator to join our HR team and play an important role in delivering a responsive, organised and people-focused HR service across the business.

This is a hands-on role with genuine ownership of day-to-day HR activity. You will work closely with employees, managers and colleagues across the organisation, helping to ensure that people processes are delivered accurately, professionally and on time.

As HR Coordinator, you will:

  • Manage the HR ticketing system and HR inbox, ensuring enquiries are prioritised, resolved or escalated appropriately and followed through to completion.
  • Act as a first point of contact for routine employee and manager enquiries relating to established HR policies, processes and employee lifecycle matters.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle activity including new starters, contractual changes, promotions, transfers, family leave, probation reviews and leavers.
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts, contractual amendments and other employment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR system data.
  • Provide accurate employee information to support payroll and other internal processes.
  • Coordinate recruitment administration, including candidate communication, interview scheduling, pre-employment activity and offer documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding activity with managers and internal teams to provide new starters with a professional and well-organised experience.
  • Support employee engagement, internal communications, wellbeing, recognition and wider people initiatives.
  • Maintain routine HR information and reporting across areas such as headcount, recruitment, absence, turnover and onboarding.
  • Identify recurring enquiries, process issues and administrative inefficiencies and support practical improvements.
  • Continue developing your HR knowledge and progressively take responsibility for appropriate lower-complexity advisory activity.

You will have clear ownership of routine activity while working closely with experienced HR colleagues on sensitive, complex or higher-risk matters.

Requirements
  • CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice, or currently studying towards the qualification.
  • Previous experience in an HR, recruitment, people operations or employee services environment.
  • Demonstrable experience coordinating administrative processes, managing competing priorities and delivering accurate work to deadlines.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities, deadlines and enquiries.
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence building effective working relationships with employees and managers at different levels.
  • Experience providing a professional service and resolving routine enquiries.
  • Sound judgement when handling confidential or sensitive information and recognising when an issue should be escalated.
  • A proactive and service-focused approach, with the confidence to follow up actions and progress work through to completion.
  • Competence using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams, together with the ability to learn HR systems, ticketing systems and other digital platforms.
  • Curiosity, personal ownership and a genuine interest in continuing to develop a career in HR.
Experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial:
  • Employee lifecycle processes.
  • Recruitment or onboarding administration.
  • HR information systems or ticketing/case-management systems.
  • Employee engagement, internal communications, wellbeing or employee events.
  • Working with people data and routine HR reporting.
Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has already started building a career in HR and is ready to take greater ownership while continuing to develop professionally.

You will join a small HR team and gain exposure to a broad range of HR activity, with the opportunity to strengthen your operational HR knowledge, develop your judgement and progressively build broader advisory capability.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing a reliable service, enjoys working with people, pays attention to detail and takes responsibility for getting things done. You should be comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change and where following an issue through to completion matters.
