Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire - Potential for up to 2 days hybrid working per week
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum DOE
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start times between 8:00am and 8:30am
My client is looking to appoint an experienced HR & Operations Coordinator to join their established HR team based in Doncaster.
This is a varied, hands-on coordination role, supporting the day-to-day running of the HR function within an established business operating across the infrastructure and energy sectors.
The team is looking for someone who can take ownership of administrative processes, improve efficiency and provide reliable support across a range of HR and business support activities.
This is not a traditional HR advisory position, and previous HR experience or CIPD qualifications are not essential. The hiring managers are particularly interested in candidates from strong administrative, office coordination, facilities coordination or compliance backgrounds who are confident managing multiple responsibilities and working independently.
The role will involve maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting learning and development processes, preparing reports and ensuring documentation is organised and audit-ready.
A significant part of the position will involve working with Excel to manage data and produce weekly and monthly reports. The team currently operates several manual processes, so someone who is confident using Excel, including VLOOKUPs, and can identify opportunities to improve administrative efficiency would be particularly well suited.
You will be joining a small, supportive and experienced HR team where attention to detail, professionalism and a proactive approach are highly valued.
The business is ideally looking for someone who wants to establish themselves within a coordination role over the medium to long term, taking ownership of processes and becoming a dependable member of the team.
The position is primarily office-based in Doncaster, with the potential for up to two days of hybrid working once established in the role. This flexibility is discretionary rather than contractual.
The hiring managers are particularly interested in a highly organised, dependable individual who enjoys taking ownership of administrative responsibilities and ensuring that day-to-day processes run smoothly.
You should be a proactive self‑starter who can identify what needs doing, prioritise your workload and complete tasks without needing constant direction.
Strong attention to detail is essential, particularly when dealing with employee records, reporting, onboarding documentation and compliance requirements.
The team is looking for someone with a calm, professional and approachable personality who will work well within a close-knit office environment.
You should be comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, and confident following up on outstanding actions when required.
This opportunity would particularly suit an experienced Administrator, Office Coordinator, Facilities Coordinator or Business Support professional who enjoys a varied workload and is looking for a stable position with genuine responsibility.
Candidates do not need formal HR qualifications or previous HR experience, provided they can demonstrate strong administrative capability, excellent Excel skills and the ability to manage processes independently.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive HR team within an established business, taking ownership of a varied administrative workload and playing an important role in improving processes and supporting the wider organisation.
