Job summary

Roots HR CIC is seeking an experienced HR Consultant to join our small but dedicated team. You will work with a diverse client base, providing practical HR advice, compliant documentation, and robust employee relations support.

You will operate in a consultancy-friendly environment, using phone, Teams and email to deliver guidance, coaching line managers, and help clients implement HR strategies and compliant policies.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Chartered MCIPD level or a Level 7 HR qualification.
• Extensive experience delivering robust generalist HR advice and coaching line managers.
• Social sector experience via employment, volunteering, or governance roles.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong written communication and report writing.
• Commitment to updating knowledge on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive HR advice, documentation, and compliance support to clients.
• Deliver guidance via phone, Teams/Zoom, and email.
• Support clients in employee relations, compliance, and HR strategy.
• Work autonomously within a consultancy environment.
