Job description

Job Title: Learning and Development Consultant

Are you passionate about learning and development and keen to support the professional growth of East Sussex County Council employees? We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Consultant to join our Organisational Development and Training Team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of Learning and Development assistants.
  2. Coordinate training activities.
  3. Administer the corporate training budget.

Your role will directly contribute to staff development, enabling them to deliver vital community services. Experience in managing training events and budgets is advantageous. Please refer to the full job description and person specification for more details.

Work Location and Hours:

The role is based at St. Mary's House, Eastbourne, and requires coverage during the following hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 08.30 - 17.00
  • Friday: 08.30 - 16.30

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse workload.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Support personal and team development.
  • Identify organisational learning needs, with a focus on embedding diversity and equality.
  • Customer-focused approach and promoting a positive customer service culture.

We welcome applications for full-time, part-time, or job share arrangements. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract.
