We are an inclusive, forward-thinking business proud of our Ethical Standards across Avara Foods. We are seeking a highly competent and motivated HR Compliance Coordinator to join our HR team at either our Telford or Brackley site.
Purpose of the role:
The HR Compliance Coordinator will support the HR team by ensuring legal and ethical compliance, assisting with recruitment, training, and audit preparation. The role also involves process improvements and supporting HR operations.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Support Ethical Compliance & Standards:
- Assist in maintaining ethical recruitment standards and legal compliance, including diversity, equality, and non-discrimination.
- Help establish internal compliance standards and ensure adherence across HR functions.
- Stay updated on compliance and regulatory changes, communicating updates to the HR team and maintaining records with partners like Stronger Together, Responsible Recruitment, and SEDEX.
Recruitment & Partner Compliance:- Ensure recruitment agencies, suppliers, and contractors meet compliance and ethical standards.
- Refine recruitment processes to align with policies and prevent modern slavery.
- Support onboarding to ensure legal and compliance standards are met.
- Monitor visa and right-to-work statuses for compliance.
Training & Process Documentation:- Maintain and update training resources for legal and internal standards.
- Deliver human rights and ethics training at relevant levels.
- Review and improve HR processes for consistency and compliance.
Audit Support, Internal Auditing & Data Management:- Prepare for audits by keeping HR records accurate and accessible.
- Maintain HR data systems in compliance with data protection laws.
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with SEDEX requirements.
Monthly Compliance Checks & Data Integrity:- Conduct monthly compliance checks and employee welfare conversations.
- Maintain data accuracy within HR systems.
- Identify hot topics and share insights for best practices.
Continuous Improvement Support:- Assist in improving HR processes and documentation.
- Support data analysis for process reviews.
General Administrative Support:- Provide administrative assistance to ensure smooth HR operations.
- Draft internal compliance updates and maintain HR policy records.
What we are looking for:

- Proactive learning approach regarding HR practices and regulations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; HR software knowledge is a plus.
