You'll use your growing generalist HR knowledge to provide timely solutions, guide employees through our people processes, and help create a consistently positive experience for everyone. This is a role where attention to detail genuinely shapes outcomes. You'll maintain high‑quality people data, produce insightful reports, and manage key trackers that keep our People function compliant and insight‑driven. You'll also play an active part in bringing our People initiatives to life from Learning & Development to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, to Wellbeing. Your coordination will help ensure these programmes are meaningful, accessible, and engaging for all colleagues. You'll work closely with a supportive, collaborative People team who will guide you, listen to your ideas and give you the space to take ownership and grow. You'll build trusted relationships across the business, share your insights to help shape future improvements, and contribute to an excellent, reliable People service that we can all be proud of. The scope of this role is broad and varied. You'll support around 280 people across four Focusrite companies based in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia with occasional involvement in other Group entities. If you're looking to grow your HR career in a friendly, forward‑thinking team, then we'd love to meet you.

Duties:

  • Provide routine guidance to employees and managers on HR processes, performance matters, absence, wellbeing, and other day‑to‑day employee topics, championing a positive, inclusive employee experience in every interaction
  • Co‑ordinate the people forum. This entails general meeting prep, including taking and assigning actions, and producing public comms
  • Role‑model our values and contribute to initiatives that strengthen inclusion, belonging, and the overall employee experience

Data, Systems & Reporting

  • Produce core HR reports (e.g., right‑to‑work, probation, sickness, holiday) and maintain People trackers, logs, and portals
  • Support data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness through diligent record‑keeping

Learning & Development

  • Co‑ordinate the delivery of L&D initiatives, including liaising with external providers, promoting programmes, and tracking participation.
  • Administer and support ongoing development offerings such as LinkedIn Learning, Development Days, mentoring, learning agreements, and apprenticeships.

EDIB

  • Assist with the delivery our EDIB (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging) programme, ensuring it is an effective driver of positive change within the organisation, and promotes a culture of equity, diversity, inclusivity and belonging

Wellbeing

  • Co‑ordinate and implement an effective wellbeing provision, both through the direct actions of the People Team, and by providing managers with clear and consistent guidance that empowers them to make choices that support and promote wellbeing within their teams

Payroll & Operational Support

  • Prepare and process monthly payroll changes accurately, collaborating with the People Advisor, Head of People and Payroll Manager to ensure timely and correct submissions.
  • Co‑ordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including HR inductions, system access, documentation, and exit interviews, ensuring a seamless and insightful experience

  • Working knowledge of HR best practice, HR operations, and UK employment law
  • Able to handle sensitive information confidentially and exercise sound judgement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening, and ability to build trusted relationships at all levels
  • Highly organised, flexible, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working with moderate guidance
