Job summary

Impact Recruitment is partnering with an established Northampton organisation to recruit an HR Business Partner on a 12‑14 month fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave. The role is hands‑on and generalist, supporting managers across the full employee lifecycle.

You will provide day‑to‑day HR advice, handle employee relations, advise on policies, and support recruitment, onboarding and engagement initiatives, while maintaining accurate HR records and reporting. Location: Northampton.

Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking to take the next step into an HR Business Partner role? Or are you already operating at HRBP level and looking for your next opportunity? We’re working with an established organisation in Northampton that is looking for an HR Business Partner to join their team on a 12‑14 month fixed‑term contract, providing cover for maternity leave. This is a hands‑on, generalist HR role where you’ll work closely with managers across the business, providing practical HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle.

The Role

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Providing day‑to‑day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
• Supporting managers with employee relations matters, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes
• Advising on HR policies, procedures and best practice
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
• Working with managers to identify and address people‑related issues
• Supporting employee engagement and wider HR initiatives
• Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring processes are followed
• Working closely with the wider HR team on ongoing projects and initiatives

About You

• Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
• Working pattern: Primarily office‑based, with Friday afternoons working from home from 12:30pm
• Start date: Ideally mid‑November
