Job description

Job Overview

If you are an experienced HR generalist who enjoys improving processes and supporting a wide range of HR matters and projects, then this could be the role for you!

To succeed in this role, you will need proven experience in a similar generalist HR capacity at advisor level and be comfortable dealing with general HR administration duties, as well as HR advisory work. Experience of managing employee relations cases is also essential.

You will thrive under a large and varied workload and will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across the College. You will be a self-starter, with a completer/finisher attitude and be confident supporting both academic and operational staff at all levels.

You will be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload, be well-organised and able to transition seamlessly from one task to the next as required in a fast-paced environment.

You will also be CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified (or possess an equivalent level of experience).

Prior experience within an HR team in an education setting is desirable, along with knowledge of safeguarding and safer recruitment.

It is essential however, that you have considerable hands-on experience in all areas of HR at advisor level, and you must have solid UK employment law knowledge.

The role is full-time, all year round and office based in Bradfield, Berkshire. You will need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle due to the rural location, and occasional travel between school sites (St Andrew’s, Pangbourne).

There is the possibility of working from home during term time, but this is dependent on workload and College requirements.

Benefits
  • Flexible working
  • Access to paid CPD training and paid subscription for CIPD membership
  • Workplace pension and 3 x life cover
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • BHSF Health Cash plan
  • Discounted membership to the Sports Centre and Golf Club
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus 6 concessionary bursar days
  • Free parking and lunch provided when the kitchens are open
