Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking an Assistant HR Business Partner to support leaders across corporate and warehouse operations in a hybrid Dorset role. You will partner with managers, advise on ER matters, and drive people initiatives to improve business performance.

The role blends strategic activity with day‑to‑day operational support, offering exposure to both corporate and operational environments and a clear path into HR business partnering.

Qualifications

• Experience in a HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and employment law.
• Experience supporting operational, logistics, manufacturing, distribution or warehouse environments would be advantageous.
• CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers across corporate and operational teams.
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievances.
• Support organisational change and people-related projects.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple locations.
• Use people data and reporting to identify trends and support decisions.
• Coach managers to improve leadership capability and engagement.
• Support talent, succession planning and development activities.
• Collaborate with the wider HR team to deliver a consistent HR service.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.

Assistant HR Business Partner

Location: Dorset (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits Travel Requirement:

Fortnightly travel to Sheffield, including overnight stays (fully expensed). This is an essential requirement of the role. Please do not apply if you can not do this bi-weekly.

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Assistant HR Business Partner to join our growing HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor ready to develop their business partnering skills within a complex and fast-paced organisation.

Supporting both corporate functions and warehouse operations, you will work closely with managers across multiple sites, providing practical HR advice, driving people initiatives and helping to improve business performance through effective people management.

Assistant HR Business Partner - About you

We're looking for an HR professional who is keen to develop their partnering capability and enjoys working in a dynamic, operational environment.

• Experience within a HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and employment law.
• Experience supporting operational, logistics, manufacturing, distribution or warehouse environments would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• The ability to build credibility quickly with managers at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
• Confidence using HR data and management information to provide insights and recommendations.
• CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD accreditation.
