HR Assistant - Belfast - FTC 9-months

MCS is excited to announce an opportunity to join a leading charity located in Belfast, looking for an experienced and motivated HR Assistant to join their organisation for a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will report to the Head of People and will play a key role in delivering value-led and efficient HR support across the employee lifecycle.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinating recruitment processes from advert to offer
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding
  • Maintaining HR records and generating reports (e.g., sickness absence)
  • Providing confidential support in HR matters
  • Supporting wellbeing and engagement initiatives
  • Assisting with HR audits, surveys, and process improvement projects
  • Being flexible to support wider HR functions with various tasks

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a similar HR role
  • CIPD qualified (Associate level)
  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible - happy to help out beyond core HR duties when needed
  • Friendly and approachable, with great communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HR systems is a bonus
