Job Description:

Our well established, successful, and constantly developing client is currently looking for an HR and Recruitment Assistant to join their friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the HR Director, the Assistant is responsible for providing all-round administrative support to the team, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, and the employee lifecycle. You will receive ongoing support and be part of a friendly team with further learning opportunities.

The role involves working at both the Stroud and Gloucester offices, so reliable commuting between both locations is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to HR and Recruitment functions.
  • Assist with queries and escalate as needed.
  • Support payroll by resolving queries and processing employment changes, ensuring all starter, leaver, and benefits updates are reported to the external payroll provider.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HR system, input data, and generate reports.
  • Draft offer letters, termination notices, and changes to terms and conditions.
  • Manage recruitment efforts by overseeing the ATS and internal tracker, screening CVs, liaising with agencies, and arranging interviews.
  • Oversee hiring and onboarding processes, including offer letters, contracts, and pre-employment checks.
  • Conduct inductions for new starters across offices, including international hires.
  • Promote employee engagement through team building, social, and charity events.
  • Deliver company inductions and conduct exit interviews.
  • Support the implementation of new processes and procedures.
  • Organize and coordinate training sessions.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

Additional Details

Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm, with early finish Fridays at 1/2pm. Fully office-based.

Salary: Very competitive (disclosed upon application) plus 25 days holiday, bank holidays, and excellent benefits.
