Job summary

Tyne Coast College is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide a professional generalist HR advisory service across the College, supporting managers and staff on a wide range of people matters while contributing to strategic workforce initiatives.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will handle employee relations, change, recruitment, attendance and policy development, coaching managers through complex issues and promoting a positive, high-performing culture; lead wellbeing initiatives and

Qualifications

• Significant experience providing a generalist HR advisory service within a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practice and employee relations.
• Experience managing a varied HR casework portfolio independently.
• Ability to influence, challenge and support managers at all levels.
• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Experience using HR systems and workforce data to identify trends and inform action.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and safeguarding.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or above (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional generalist HR advisory service across the College.
• Support managers and employees on a wide range of people matters.
• Counsel leaders on employee relations, organisational change, recruitment and attendance.
• Coach managers through complex people issues and develop a positive workplace culture.
• Lead the College's staff wellbeing agenda, coordinating wellbeing initiatives.
• Analyse workforce data and maintain participation in health-award schemes.
