Job summary

CPS Group (UK) Limited. is seeking an HR Advisor in Cardiff to be the first point of contact for people matters. You will work with the HR Manager and HR & Office Administrator to ensure fair and compliant processes.

The role is hands-on and covers employee relations, absence management, performance coaching, and HR operations, requiring solid UK employment law knowledge and the ability to build trusted relationships with managers.

Qualifications

• Solid generalist HR experience across employee relations.
• Working knowledge of UK employment law.
• Ability to coach managers and build trusted relationships.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for people matters and provide clear, practical advice to employees and managers.
• Manage informal and formal employee relations cases, including grievance, discipline, and capability matters.
• Own absence management, monitor sickness data and conduct return-to-work meetings.
• Coaching line managers for effective performance conversations and leading formal performance meetings.
• Support HR operations, policy updates and monthly HR reporting.
