Job summary

TurnerFox Recruitment in Mansfield is seeking a personable HR Advisor to join our busy HR function. You will support the full employee journey, from application to employment, and handle a wide range of HR tasks with accuracy and discretion.

You'll work closely with line managers and staff to keep HR processes compliant and people-focused, juggling priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Background in HR admin, coordinator or generalist capacity.
• CIPD qualification (or working towards one).
• Solid grasp of HR practices and UK employment law.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Help run recruitment activity and ensure candidates have a smooth journey from application to job offer.
• Organise pre-start paperwork, onboarding schedules and induction plans for new joiners.
• Carry out right-to-work verification and other compliance checks.
• Keep HR systems and employee files accurate and up to date.
• Draft HR paperwork such as letters, records and meeting summaries.
• Provide admin support during disciplinary meetings, grievance hearings and investigations, including note-taking and filing.
• Help refine and improve HR policies and workflows over time.
• Get involved in broader HR team projects as they come up.
• Make sure everything you do stays aligned with UK employment law and internal policy.
• Act as a helpful, reliable point of contact for managers and staff with HR queries.
