Job summary

Portfolio HR & Reward is representing a world-renowned manufacturing business recruiting a HR Advisor on a permanent basis. The role is fully office-based with offices in Stoke-on-Trent and offers a salary between £32,000 and £37,000.

You will be the first point of contact for HR guidance, coach managers on people management, handle ER caseloads, oversee recruitment and onboarding, and ensure all activities comply with UK employment legislation, GDPR and ACAS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling high-level employee relations cases.
• Experience in manufacturing/retail settings encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Serving as the first point of contact for HR guidance and coaching managers in people management.
• Managing a diverse ER caseload (discipline, grievances, performance, absence) and supporting investigations/hearings.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and contract preparation while maintaining HR systems and policies.
• Ensure HR activities, records and documentation comply with UK employment legislation, GDPR and ACAS guidelines.

Portfolio HR & Reward are proud to be representing a world-renowned manufacturing business that is currently seeking a HR Advisor to join them on a permanent basis.

This role is fully office based with their offices based in Stoke on Trent.

This role is offering a salary range between £32,000 and £37,000.

As a successful HR Advisor, you will be responsible for;

• Serving as the first point of contact for HR guidance, coaching managers to build confidence in people management and promoting early, informal dispute resolutions.
• Managing a diverse ER caseload (including discipline, grievances, performance, and absence), supporting with investigations, hearings and escalating high risk cases when appropriate
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and contract preparation while maintaining accurate HR systems, metrics, and policy improvements.
• Ensure all HR activities, employee records, and case documentation strictly comply with UK employment legislation, GDPR, and ACAS guidelines.

The ideal HR Advisor will have the following;

• Proven experience of handling high-level, high-volume employee relations cases
• Experience working in a manufacturing/retail setting is desirable, but not essential
• Available to start quickly due to business-critical requirements
