Main Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations & Casework
- Provide expert advice on a variety of ER issues including performance, absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
- Support and lead on case investigations and documentation, ensuring a fair and compliant approach.
- Represent HR in formal meetings, promoting consistency and best practice.
- Maintain accurate case records and help identify patterns or emerging issues.
- Change & Consultation Support
- Assist HR Business Partners with organisational change processes.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees during periods of change.
- HR Policy & Compliance
- Apply and advise on HR policies and employment legislation.
- Contribute to policy reviews and updates.
- Promote consistency and fairness in all HR practices.
- Coaching & Manager Support
- Build manager confidence through coaching on day-to-day HR issues.
- Support initiatives that foster employee well-being and a positive work culture.
- Help design and deliver workshops or guidance sessions on key HR topics.
- Collaboration & Operational Support
- Work with colleagues in Payroll, L&D, and other HR teams to resolve queries and ensure a joined-up approach.
- Use HR data to support decision-making and identify trends.
- Plan and prioritise your own workload, balancing casework, project support, and business needs.
The Successful Applicant
- Experience in a generalist HR or ER advisory role, ideally within a multi-site or complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of employment law and best practice in managing ER issues.
- A proven track record in advising on complex ER issues, including performance, disciplinary, and change management.
- Ability to work in a standalone capacity, with the confidence to make decisions independently.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
What's on Offer
- Salary £35,000 per annum.
- This is a hybrid role, working a minimum of 1 day per week at the Liverpool site.
