Job description

As HR Advisor, you’ll be the go-to person for employees and managers, providing day-to-day HR support that keeps the workplace running smoothly. You’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of our HR function and enhancing the employee experience at Mettler-Toledo Safeline. This is a fixed-term position for 18-24 months.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Support investigation processes for ER cases.
  2. Support and produce timely and comprehensive documentation outputs from disciplinary, capability, and grievance processes, in line with best practices and legal advice from SLUK-appointed legal partners.
  3. Manage employee absence cases end-to-end in accordance with Absence Policy and company Occupational Health Service.
  4. Facilitate complex administration of HRIS records for payroll, benefits, Absence Management, time & attendance, and other reporting requirements.
  5. Handle maternity, paternity, adoption, and parental leave (and return) preparations, processes, and queries.
  6. Manage Flexible Working Requests from start to finish.
  7. Liaise and consult with external agencies and benefit providers.
  8. Assist the HR Officer and HR Business Partner in developing and maintaining people-related policies and procedures.
  9. Support the recruitment and onboarding processes in collaboration with HR Officer and Talent Acquisition colleagues.
What You Need to Succeed
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, including absence management, recruitment, onboarding, ER cases, benefits, and rewards.
  • Experience working within a unionized environment, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong experience with SAP HCM, Workday, MS Office 365, PeopleDoc.
  • Proven experience supporting HRIS system implementations.
  • Ability to build and maintain trust and confidence.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of UK Employment Law and HR Best Practices.
