Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking an enthusiastic HR Advisor to join our HR team in Hyde. You will support day-to-day HR operations across the site and provide practical, compliant HR guidance to managers and employees.

In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you’ll work with the HR Business Partner to drive employee engagement, manage ER matters, and contribute to our people strategy while supporting apprenticeship programmes and local talent pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, or similar HR role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience handling employee relations cases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience using HR systems.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Ability to build credibility and influence at all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Providing HR advice and support across a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and capability cases.
• Coaching and supporting managers to ensure policies, procedures, and employment legislation are applied consistently.
• Managing occupational health referrals and supporting managers with implementing recommendations.
• Supporting absence management processes and driving initiatives to reduce absence levels.
• Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
• Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, working closely with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition teams.
• Coordinating employee engagement activities and wellbeing initiatives.
• Supporting apprenticeship programmes and local talent pipeline initiatives.
• Assisting with ethical audits, compliance reporting, and customer requirements.
• Supporting learning and development activities to drive training compliance across the site.
• Participating in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
