Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support the site’s people function across manufacturing operations. You will provide timely advice on employee relations, policy interpretation, and people processes to managers and teams.

Key duties include handling disciplinary and absence matters, ensuring employment law compliance, maintaining HR records, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and coordinating health and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a generalist HR role throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing employee relations cases.
• Proficiency with HR systems and administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR advice and support to managers on employee relations matters.
• Support delivery of the Group People Strategy and key people metrics such as retention, turnover, and absence.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures, and employment law requirements are applied consistently.
• Maintain accurate HR systems, records, and reporting.
• Coordinate Occupational Health referrals and support wellbeing initiatives.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and apprenticeship programmes.
• Assist with training compliance, employee engagement activities, and communication forums.
• Support ethical audits, customer requirements, and health & safety initiatives.
