Job summary

Dovetail Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an HR Advisor on a permanent basis for a client in Dorset. The role is hybrid with travel to Sheffield and Widnes about once a month. You will support managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle, covering employee relations, recruitment, development and HR projects.

We are seeking a confident HR professional with UK employment law knowledge and experience in generalist HR. Benefits include a strong package and hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law.

Responsibilities

• Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence management and other employee relations cases.
• Advise managers on performance management and support performance improvement plans.
• Conduct investigations and provide practical HR guidance in line with employment law and company policy.
• Support recruitment activities, including interviewing and candidate assessment.
• Coordinate learning and development initiatives and maintain training records.
• Identify opportunities to support employee growth and development.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Assist with the review and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Provide trusted HR advice to managers across the business.
• Maintain HR records and systems, including CezanneHR.
• Support payroll administration, pensions and employee benefits processes.
• Produce HR reports and ensure data accuracy.
• Support employees from recruitment and onboarding through to probation and development.
• Partner with managers to understand workforce requirements and succession needs.
• Assist with employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives and company events.
• Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the People function.
