Job summary

Reed is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join the Leyland People team. You will act as the first point of contact for managers and staff on HR matters, delivering practical guidance while ensuring policy compliance and commercial alignment.

You will handle a broad range of employee relations cases, support policy development, and contribute to initiatives that enhance engagement and culture in a fast-paced environment. The role is office-based in Leyland and offers a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a HR Advisor or generalist HR role.
• Strong employee relations experience and ability to manage complex cases.
• Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• CIPD qualification or currently studying would be advantageous.
• Proactive approach and ability to thrive in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR matters.
• Advise on employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absences and investigations.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and best practice to managers.
• Review and write HR policies to ensure legal compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate confidential employee records and HR documentation.
• Support HR projects to boost employee engagement and workplace culture.
• Assist with training and development, building management capability across the business.
