Job summary

Ambitions Personnel is seeking an experienced HR Advisor in Derby to join our People team. You will work closely with managers, support employees and shape the people agenda, going beyond administration to provide practical HR guidance and challenge where needed.

You’ll handle employee relations cases, influence decisions, support recruitment, and contribute to change initiatives while using HR systems and Microsoft Office to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Solid Employee Relations experience.
• Experience advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships at all levels.
• CIPD Level 3 or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers across the business.
• Manage and advise on disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
• Coach managers through challenging employee situations.
• Support recruitment processes to be fair, consistent and effective.
• Contribute to organisational change and people projects.
• Help improve HR processes and policies and drive HR technology adoption.
