We have a great opportunity for a HR Advisor – Employee Relations to join our team in the Woking office.

This role is part of Menzies’ Outsourced Business Solutions team, providing accounting, payroll, HR and company secretarial services to clients across all sectors.

It is a consulting role, working with multiple clients on employee relations issues, both reactive and proactive.

You will be part of a close-knit HR services team, within which you will lead on Employee Relations, ensuring we have excellent resources and expertise to offer our clients and managing a full employee relations case load. You will also support clients with education and training and support the team in marketing its services through content, publications and events. You will collaborate with team members to ensure wider HR and other outsourced services are delivered seamlessly to each client.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  1. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on a wide range of employee relations issues, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance management and workplace investigations.
  2. Support clients with reorganisations and restructures including the implications of TUPE.
  3. Assist with DEI policies and associated risk assessments and communication/training.
  4. Carry out reviews of clients' existing arrangements and report on areas that require updates or new content to maintain compliance.
  5. Develop and deliver training content on ER topics.
  6. Maintain an excellent knowledge of relevant employment laws and forthcoming changes, adapting our internal templates and materials to always reflect an up-to-date position.
  7. Ensure that retained clients receive particularly close attention when it comes to maintaining/updating their compliance.
  8. Work with colleagues to plan and deliver updates, events (e.g. webinars) and publications to keep clients and prospects up to date on ER issues.
  9. Build and maintain an internal (Menzies) network of contacts to raise awareness of our ER capabilities and encourage internal referrals.
  10. Work with colleagues on broader client projects e.g. employee engagement, organisational change, culture work where there is an ER component.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a HR Advisor / HR Business Partner, where you'll provide expert guidance on Employee Relations, UK employment law, and HR best practices.

We're looking for a pragmatic problem-solver with strong communication skills, a diplomatic approach, and the ability to build relationships at all levels.

You should be CIPD qualified, comfortable delivering training and presentations, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in consulting or working with external clients is a plus.
