Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an HR Advisor for the Fashion & Apparel team at the Primark site in Thrapston, UK.

You will provide expert HR guidance to managers across the employee lifecycle and partner with operational leaders to drive engagement, performance and people development, while ensuring compliance with UK employment law. Reporting to the HR Manager and working on-site Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, you’ll support both Warehouse and Transport operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor role within a fast-paced environment such as logistics/warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies, employee relations and change management practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards it, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice and support to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management and capability cases.
• Partner with operational leaders to drive engagement, performance, talent development and delivery of the site’s people plan.
• Support recruitment and onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate and colleague experience while maintaining policy compliance.
• Analyse and report HR metrics like absence, turnover, headcount and employee relations trends to support decision-making.
• Champion employee engagement and culture change, and deputise for the HR Manager when required.
