Job summary

The Gorse Academies Trust is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our Central HR Team. You will provide expert advice to managers, support recruitment and employee relations, and analyse HR data to inform decisions.

You will focus on catering function HR support, ensuring compliance, wellbeing and positive workplace culture across the trust, working closely with the HR Director and school leaders.

Qualifications

  • Holds, or is working towards, a Level 5 HR qualification, ideally CIPD.
  • Significant experience in an HR advisory, coordinator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practice and people management processes.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using HR systems, data and reporting tools, including Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with employee relations cases, including attendance, disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes.

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a role where you can make a real difference?

The Gorse Academies Trust (“GORSE”) are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and people-focused HR Advisor to join our highly regarded Central HR Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and supportive HR function, supporting colleagues across our establishments and ensuring that our people remain at the heart of everything we do.

As a trusted HR professional, you will provide expert advice and guidance to managers, support employee relations casework, oversee key recruitment activities and help drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing and organisational development. Whilst supporting colleagues across the Trust, the successful candidate will have a particular focus on providing HR support to the Trust’s catering function, including recruitment, probation, sickness absence and appraisal processes. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration and making a positive impact

About the Role

Working closely with the HR Director, Assistant Director of HR, HR Business Partners and school leaders, you will:

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Is confident working with HR systems, data and reporting tools, including Excel.
  • Can handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism and integrity.
