This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational managers, solving people challenges and making a real difference across a regional business.

Ideally based in Surrey or Hampshire, you’ll support managers and colleagues across sites in Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex, bringing practical advice, sound judgement and a people-focused approach to a varied regional role.

With the autonomy to manage your own workload, build strong stakeholder relationships and get involved in wider HR initiatives, this is a great opportunity to broaden your experience and continue developing your HR career.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and guidance on absence management, performance, conduct, capability, disciplinary and grievance matters.

  • Partnering with the Regional Manager and site managers to resolve people issues and support effective decision-making.

  • Coaching managers to build their confidence, strengthen their people management skills and handle employee relations matters consistently.

  • Managing your own caseload, prioritising competing demands and ensuring cases progress efficiently and professionally.

  • Supporting investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, including preparing documentation and attending meetings where required.

  • Contributing to wider HR projects and initiatives that improve employee engagement, manager capability and operational performance.

  • Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring actions, correspondence and case management activities are followed up promptly.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a confident, proactive HR professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing managers and finding practical solutions to people challenges.

You’ll be comfortable working independently, managing a varied workload and balancing the needs of the business with a fair and consistent approach to employee relations.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in an HR Advisor, People Advisor or similar generalist HR role.

  • Strong employee relations experience, with the confidence to advise managers on both informal and formal processes.

  • A good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

  • Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels.

  • A well-organised, pragmatic approach and the ability to manage your own diary and competing priorities.

  • The flexibility and willingness to travel regularly across Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex.

  • A CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience using Cezanne or a similar HR information system (HRIS) would be advantageous.

What’s in it for you?

This role offers the chance to take ownership of your work, develop your expertise and become a valued partner to operational leaders across the region.

You’ll benefit from:

  • £38,000 annual salary

  • Company car or car allowance

  • 25 days’ annual leave, plus a paid Celebration Day each year

  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8.30am to 5.00pm

  • A supportive, established HR team of 10 colleagues

  • A high level of autonomy and the opportunity to make a tangible impact
