Job description

Mission:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Advisor / Generalist to join our dynamic team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role supporting front-line managers across a range of HR activities, with a strong focus on employee relations and operational HR support.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to line managers on a wide range of employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance.
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including support on recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding processes.
  • Support and coordinate occupational health referrals, ensuring appropriate follow-up and adjustments are made in line with recommendations.
  • Coach and support managers to build their confidence and capability in managing people effectively.
  • Contribute to develop good HR postures for the Line Managers and make sure they become autonomous, by guiding them through the HR tools, systems and processes.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support change management processes.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Confident in advising and influencing managers at all levels.

Desirable:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards it.
  • Experience with HR systems and data reporting tools.
