Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking an HR Advisor for our Northampton site (Pineham). You will be a key partner to operational leaders, delivering a proactive HR service across warehouse and transport operations, driving engagement and culture, and supporting both people and performance.

This is a full-time, on-site role with 37.5 hours per week. The role requires experience in generalist HR, strong knowledge of UK Employment Law, excellent communication, and CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience with strong employee relations exposure.
• Knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice, including trade unions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards).

Responsibilities

• Providing expert HR advice to managers on employee relations, performance, and people management
• Managing end-to-end absence, disciplinary, grievance, and long-term sickness cases
• Walking the floor to build relationships and ensure a visible, approachable HR presence
• Supporting the GXO teams in proactively identifying and developing employee engagement
• Analyzing HR data and supporting the delivery of the site people plan and broader HR strategy

What you'll do on a typical day
