Job description

Here at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, we have a brand new opportunity for a HR Advisor to support our Contact Centre area of the business, where we have over 1000 colleagues. The role will be based at our Head Office in Leeds amongst the wider HR team, supporting colleagues on a remote basis.


Reporting to the HR Business Partner, our HR Advisor will provide HR generalist advice, support and guidance, to senior stakeholders within high-profile areas of the business. You’ll have the autonomy to make real-life changes and improvements to your business area whilst working closely with the HR Business Partner and wider HR team.


The role offers a great opportunity to play a key role as a centre of excellence for all HR-related matters ranging from high-volume general queries to more complex employee relations queries on a smaller scale.

What you’ll be doing:

Our HR Advisor will act as the first point of contact for general HR queries and employee relations matters, providing accurate and timely advice on a high-volume basis. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Coaching managers and identifying where HR issues and queries need to be escalated and referring them to the appropriate level of HR management to ensure relevant action is taken.
  2. Monitoring, analysing and reporting on key HR Data and KPI’s such as turnover of staff, sickness absence etc. to identify trends and then working with the HR Business Partner to identify and address any underlying issues.
  3. Developing and updating internal HR guidance and procedures on key HR processes as and when required to ensure consistency and efficiency of service within the HR team.
  4. Design and deliver training to managers, ensuring they have the right skills to effectively manage their team.

What you’ll have:

We are looking for somebody with experience managing high-volume ER cases, who can prioritise their workload and work to deadlines. You’ll also have:

  1. An up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
  2. The ability to effectively challenge and influence where needed.
  3. HR generalist or employee relations experience.
  4. Experience supporting colleagues on a remote basis is desirable.
