Lawrence Dean Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a Hatfield-based People team. You will provide day-to-day HR guidance to line managers on employee relations and help shape an engaging employee experience.

The role covers disciplinary, absence and performance matters, policy advice, and involvement in recruitment and HR projects. Office-based initially with potential hybrid working after probation, starting January 2027.

• Good practical experience of employee relations, including disciplinary, absence and performance matters.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Confidence advising and supporting line managers on HR issues.
• Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to get involved in HR activities.

Working closely with the People Manager, you'll enjoy a varied and rewarding role combining hands-on employee relations with the opportunity to get involved in wider HR initiatives and projects.

HR Advisor - Benefits Offered

• Salary £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service

HR Advisor - Job Overview

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor, People Advisor, HR Officer or similar generalist HR role
• Good practical experience of employee relations, including disciplinary, absence and performance matters
• Confidence advising and supporting line managers on HR issues
• Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
• Organised, approachable and able to manage sensitive situations professionally
• A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved in a variety of HR activities
• CIPD qualification desirable, although relevant experience is equally important

This position would suit an HR Advisor looking for a varied role where they can take ownership of employee relations matters whilst continuing to develop their experience across wider HR activities.
