Job summary

The JobsBoard is seeking an HR Advisor for a hybrid role covering two sites in the Mid Kent area. The position is permanent and full-time with a salary around £40,000 plus excellent benefits. You will be the go-to contact for managers, delivering day-to-day HR support and engagement, reporting to an HR Business Partner at head office.

You will help deliver people plans locally, support recruitment and onboarding, and contribute to employee wellbeing and development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in HR
• Level 5 CIPD desirable

Responsibilities

• Support management to deliver divisional targets, objectives and SLAs.
• Coach managers on HR policies, procedures and legislation through day-to-day advice, training and workshops.
• Support with employee relations activity, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes, guiding management through necessary processes in a timely manner.
• Monitor absence levels and triggers, supporting managers with action in line with policy.
• Assist in initiating and facilitating change and business improvement activity in line with the People plan.

Are you ready to make a real impact and help deliver key people plans at a local level? We are working with an established organisation that genuinely values its people. As HR Advisor, you will be the go-to contact for managers across two sites, building strong relationships, supporting employee engagement and ensuring effective day-to-day HR delivery. This is a stand-alone role with the support of an HR Business Partner based at the UK Head Office.

Some responsibilities for this HR Advisor role are:

• Support the management team to deliver divisional targets, objectives and SLAs.
• Coach, educate and support managers on HR policies, procedures and legislation through day-to-day advice, training and workshops.
• Support with employee relations activity, including but not limited to investigation, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes, guiding management through necessary processes in a timely manner.
• Monitor absence levels and triggers, supporting managers with appropriate action in line with company policy.
• Support the HR Business Partner in initiating and facilitating change and business improvement activity in line with wider People plan (activities include, but are not limited to, engagement, communication, succession planning & development).
• Support local management with recruitment and onboarding activity as required.
• Proactively manage short- and long-term sickness and ill health capability issues, always liaising closely with managers.
• Support managers with referrals to Occupational Health as required and provide support to managers to ensure any GP and OH recommendations are followed up appropriately.
• Support on HR Initiatives and HR Projects.
