About The Role

As an HR Advisor, you will play an important role in supporting our people and line managers covering the entire employee life cycle.

The role will include managing employee relations cases, absences, wellbeing, performance management, flexible working requests, and guiding managers on people-related matters.

Additionally, you will support the HR team in delivering HR projects that contribute to our people strategy and advocate for our employee values.

What Matters Most In This Role

Your ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential. Delivering clear and accurate HR advice is paramount.

Partnering with Line Managers, you will advise on employee relations matters such as performance management, grievances, disciplinary issues, and long-term sickness absence, including occupational health and GIP referrals. Providing commercially savvy HR advice and guiding Line Managers effectively is crucial.

You should have experience managing redundancy processes, including leading consultations and completing all related administration. Experience with TUPE is advantageous but not essential.

You will work closely with the Head of HR to review and update existing policies and help develop new ones in line with legislation and best practices.

Other duties will include:
  • Managing HR/ER cases end-to-end, supporting managers in investigations, and reviewing reports and letters with an HR Administrator.
  • Managing flexible working requests from start to finish, including coordinating meetings and drafting outcomes.
  • Assisting in developing and delivering Line Manager training on HR topics.
  • Supporting annual salary reviews, promotions, and bonus processes as needed.
  • Staying updated on employment legislation and employee relations issues.
  • Supporting the development of HR Administrators.

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience with Cascade or similar HRIS systems.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
  • Commercial acumen.
