About The Role
This is an exciting new opportunity to work in a varied and rewarding role where youll be at the heart of shaping and supporting our people strategy across the Council. As a trusted advisor, youll provide expert HR advice, drive employee engagement, and help deliver a high-performing and inclusive workplace.
As an HR Advisor, you will play a key part in delivering excellent HR support service across the Council. You will have the opportunity to get involved in creating and delivering HR solutions according to business need as well as supporting projects, implementing change, coaching and advising managers.
As Part Of This Role You Will
Support managers throughout the recruitment process and on HR policy advice.
Manage a caseload involving employee relations, absence, grievance, and performance cases.
Provide expert guidance on maternity, paternity, and terms & conditions of employment.
Advise on restructures, job evaluations, and organisational change.
Play a key role in reviewing and implementing policies and procedures.
Assist with payroll processes and contribute to wider HR projects and events.
You will need
- CIPD qualified/or working towards a current Level 5 and/or relevant experience of five years
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent to grade C/4 or higher
- Experience in an employee relations environment dealing with a variety of unions on issues to include restructures.
- Good knowledge of Employment Law.
- To support the HR & Corporate Services Manager in the delivery of a professional HR service that adds value and delivers effective business-focused solutions.
- Ability to work with others to deliver key outcomes
