Job summary

Lucy Walker Recruitment is working with a Leeds-based client to hire an experienced HR Officer. The role covers Employee Relations, Recruitment, Policies and Procedures across multiple sites, with a focus on legally compliant, people-focused practices.

A fast-paced, hands-on position requiring travel each week and office-based work. The successful candidate will have CIPD Level 5 or 4+ years of experience in a decision-making HR role, plus a driving licence and proven ER expertise.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Employee Relations and people management.
• Strong communication, coaching and leadership abilities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and confident HR Officer to join one of our leading Leeds based clients. You will help drive effective, legally compliant, and people-focused practices across multiple sites.

This is a generalist role covering Employee Relations, Recruitment, Polices and Procedures - and you will support across exciting projects. A varied and fast paced role.

Ideally you will come from a manufacturing or retail background. You will be responsible for a large team. If you are a hands-on HR professional, looking for your next challenge and want to be part of a friendly team.

You must be able to drive for this role due to the weekly travel involved.

This role is fully office based/on site

Key Duties and responsibilities:

• Working proactively to build relationships with management, guiding and coaching within all areas of HR.
• Employee Relations throughout the business, HR policies and processes in addition to having an engagement focus
• Responsible for key HR projects
• Talent Management: succession planning, recruitment, L&D projects - coaching and mentoring
• Responsible for managing absence, sickness and looking at staff attendance

Skills & Experience:

• CIPD Level 5 qualified or 4+ years hands on experience within a decision-making HR role
• Driving Licence
• Proven experience with managing Employee Relations
• Experience of relationship building and challenging situations with the right approach, to ensure a satisfactory resolution
• Strong coaching and leadership skills
• Superb communication and organisational skills
