Job summary

Lucy Walker Recruitment is assisting a Leeds-based charity in recruiting an experienced HR Advisor for an ongoing, temporary assignment. The role is office-based for the first three months and may become permanent.

You will coach and advise line managers and colleagues on People practices, ensuring compliance with policies, employment law, and regulations. Key duties include stakeholder engagement, coaching managers, TU relations, policy development, and data-driven HR insights to guide

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years HR Advisor led experience.
• Experience coaching/training managers on ER issues.
• Knowledge of latest HR trends and employment legislation.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder management across the business, including Trade Unions.
• Coach, guide and mentor managers to grow capability.
• Maintain TU relations with high-quality advice and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with employment law.
• Contribute to development and implementation of employee lifecycle policies.
• Coach and guide teams to ensure behaviour aligns with policy.
• Use MI to identify root causes and inform interventions.
• Support change management processes with People Partners.

Job description

We are working with a great charity in Leeds who are looking for an experienced, HR Advisor to join their team for an ongoing, temporary assignment. This role will be fully office based for the first three months and may become permanent. As a HR Advisor you will coach, guide, and provide employee relations advice, line managers and colleagues to support with all People practices, making sure compliance with policies, employment law and regulations are always adhered too. Working within a support HR team setting, key duties will involve;

• Stakeholder management: As an ambassador you will build positive and professional relationships across the business with all colleagues, including Trade Unions
• Coach, guide, and mentor managers to grow their capability
• Maintain and promote positive TU relations through the provision of consistent, high quality, advice, and guidance to managers
• Ensuring compliance with employment law
• Contribute to the development and implementation of employee lifecycle policies and procedures, enabling managers to take an approach which is person-centred and forward thinking, within a framework of accountable risk management and decision making
• Coach and guide managers and teams to ensure behaviour is aligned
• Use MI, to identify and address the root cause of issues to develop targeted interventions and support decision making.
• Working with the People Partners, provide future-focused advice, guidance, and support to managers on the delivery of innovative and creative change management processes which anticipate and meet changing workforce requirements.
