What You Will Do
  1. Provide expert advice and guidance on all employee relations matters, ensuring best practices are followed in line with company policies and legal standards.
  2. Support managers with absence management, including conducting review meetings and coordinating long-term absence cases with Occupational Health.
  3. Act as the first point of contact for maternity, paternity, adoption, and flexible working cases, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  4. Manage day-to-day HR activities, including onboarding new starters, processing leavers, and handling contractual changes.
  5. Assist with recruitment activities, supporting interviews, and delivering the company's induction programme for new employees.
  6. Contribute to HR-related projects and initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with the company's goals.
What You Will Bring
  1. Proven experience in a similar HR role, with a solid understanding of employment law and HR practices.
  2. CIPD qualification or working towards it is desirable.
  3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is advantageous, as is exposure to unionised settings.
