Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an experienced HR/Employee Relations Advisor to join a busy HR Operations team in the United Kingdom. You will deliver expert ER advice to managers across the business, handling a varied caseload and helping to drive HR projects and process improvements.

You will partner with managers to resolve complex employee matters, ensure lawful and consistent decision-making, and support policy development.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or current study toward CIPD.
• Strong experience as HR Advisor/HR Operations with complex ER case management.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, organised with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using HR systems; SAP advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance, sickness absence, capability, discrimination, bullying & harassment, redeployment and redundancy.
• Provide practical, commercially focused advice on employment law, HR policies and best practice.
• Coach and support managers through complex people issues.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues, Occupational Health, Payroll, Legal and Trade Union representatives.
• Maintain accurate HR records and case management reporting.
• Support HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced HR/ Employee Relations Advisor to join a busy HR Operations team of a large well known utilities company, providing expert employee relations advice and support to managers across the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys managing a varied ER caseload, partnering with managers to resolve complex people matters, and contributing to HR projects that improve processes and manager capability.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing a broad range of employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance, sickness absence, capability, discrimination, bullying & harassment, redeployment and redundancy.

What we're looking for:

• CIPD qualified or currently studying towards CIPD.
• Strong experience in an HR Advisor or HR Operations role with responsibility for complex ER case management.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using HR systems (SAP experience is advantageous).
