Job summary

Serco Limited is recruiting for a Housing Officer to support the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services (AASC) across Stoke, Crewe, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford and Market Drayton. The role is full-time (37.5 hours) with a UK driving licence and a company car provided.

You will ensure high standards of accommodation and welfare support under the Home Office contract. Key duties include delivering service-user support, conducting monthly property inspections, inductions, incident management

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a service environment with clear communication.
• Knowledge/experience in a property related environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• IT literate with MS Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to manage conflict and maintain organisation under pressure.
• Safeguarding knowledge/experience is desirable; security experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core Service User support services as prescribed under the contract.
• Provide inductions for new Service Users to IA, explaining services and procedures.
• Respond to requests for assistance via the AIRE Services.
• Manage incidents reported by the AIRE Services.
• Complete monthly IA inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure safety and compliance of buildings and safeguarding procedures.
