Job summary

Town & Country Housing is seeking a compassionate Housing Support Worker to deliver a responsive wellbeing service for residents, including a 24-hour emergency response during your shift.

You will support tenants to sustain their tenancies, respond to emergencies, keep schemes safe and maintained, and assist the Housing Officer with essential admin tasks and repairs coordination to create a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, support work, or a similar customer-focused role.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
• A caring, compassionate approach with a strong customer focus.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety (or willingness to learn).
• Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to service needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a responsive wellbeing service to residents, including providing a 24-hour emergency response during your shift.
