Nature Of Temporary Work
Brook Street Social Care will, at all times during your employment, use reasonable endeavours to allocate you to suitable assignments. Your hours of work may vary from one assignment to another, and you will be advised of the expected hours for each assignment. There may also be occasions when no work is available.
For your hard work and commitment, you will be paid an hourly rate between £12.21-13.21 (depending on your assignment), a committed team of consultants to support you, and a comprehensive employee package including enhanced annual leave, sickness pay, wellbeing support, training, overtime, referral schemes, pension, and more.
You will work in hostel settings and possibly in the community, supporting individuals at risk of homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, or ex-offenders. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, providing emotional support, assisting with housing benefits, and general support.
Previous experience working with vulnerable populations in similar settings is essential, especially as this role often requires quick adaptation.
