Base pay range

We are seeking a Housing Support Worker for our Persona One Supported Accommodation business. You will need to be able to provide direct support to individuals facing multiple challenges, helping them achieve housing stability, independence, and access to essential services. This role involves tenancy management, housing-related compliance, and multi-agency collaboration to improve long-term outcomes for service users.

You will support people from diverse backgrounds—including care leavers, refugees, and those with physical or learning disabilities—to access safe accommodation, manage tenancies, and build the foundations for independent living.

This position requires a strong understanding of housing systems, tenancy rights, and welfare benefits, as well as an awareness of housing compliance and property management standards. It offers an opportunity to make a measurable impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals by supporting them in achieving housing stability and independence. If you have the skills and commitment to drive positive change, we encourage you to apply.

This role demands compassion, resilience, and a practical understanding of housing systems, tenancy rights, and welfare benefits. You will work closely with local partners and need to be confident navigating multi-agency environments.

Key responsibilities and requirements:
  1. Assist individuals with housing applications, securing benefits, and managing rent payments.
  2. Support individuals in understanding their tenancy agreements, rights, and responsibilities.
  3. Provide practical and emotional support to develop independent living skills.
  4. Work in partnership with probation services, social workers, and housing authorities to ensure coordinated support.
  5. Actively attract, manage, and retain client groups, ensuring continuous engagement.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including housing associations, local authorities, health services, and voluntary organisations.
  7. Represent the organisation at external meetings and case reviews.
Skills and experience Required:
  1. Knowledge of housing systems, tenancy agreements, and the benefits system.
  2. Awareness of housing compliance standards, including fire safety, gas safety, and environmental health regulations.
  3. Experience dealing with vulnerable tenants and providing appropriate support.
  4. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (business car insurance required; mileage reimbursed).
  5. Medium level IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  6. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evening visits.
  7. Strong organisational skills to manage a caseload effectively while meeting deadlines.
  8. Experience in multi-agency working to ensure holistic support for service users.

If you're passionate about supporting people to rebuild their lives and want to work in a role where your efforts truly matter, we want to hear from you.
