Job summary

BDS (Northern) Limited in Newcastle is seeking a compassionate Housing Support Worker to help clients secure and maintain housing. You will mentor, guide, and provide practical support across budgeting, applications, and access to local services.

The role is part-time, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with DBS clearance required and a valid driver's license. Pay starts from £13.60 PAYE plus holiday pay or £17.43 Umbrella.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mentoring or supporting vulnerable individuals.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience/Knowledge of social housing is advantageous but not essential.

The role is to assist individuals in securing and maintaining suitable accommodation. The role involves providing guidance, mentoring, and practical support to clients facing housing challenges.

This is a part time, temporary role with the potential to go permanent to start asap to work 30 hours per week Monday to Friday

Must have a valid Enhanced DBS in the last 6 months or on the update service

You must be a driver with access to a vehicle.
