Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Housing Support Worker in Halifax to assist vulnerable individuals and families moving from temporary accommodation to settled housing. You will help with welfare benefits, budgeting, and accessing health and support services, while coordinating with housing teams and external agencies to secure sustainable tenancies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable adults, individuals and families facing homelessness or multiple disadvantages.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits and housing options.
• Experience of housing support and multi-agency working.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of individuals and families in temporary accommodation or at risk of homelessness.
• Assess support needs and create tailored support plans.
• Assist clients with welfare benefits, budgeting and accessing health and support services.
• Support clients to secure and move into suitable long-term accommodation.
• Work closely with housing teams and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Monitor tenancy sustainment and provide ongoing support where required.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Attend case reviews, meetings and multi-agency discussions.
