Job summary

Riverside is seeking a Service Manager to lead a supported housing service, delivering safe, customer‑focused operations. You will recruit, train, and motivate staff, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory and health & safety compliance while building strong stakeholder partnerships.

The role emphasizes durable leadership, service improvement through data analysis, and a proactive, inclusive management style in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing a team within a supported housing environment.
• Experience of working in challenging environments and prioritising tasks.
• Clear communication, feedback, empowerment and improvements.
• Conflict resolution skills and decisive decision-making.
• Experience in reviewing and evaluating outcomes of support services.
• IT skills including databases, reporting and analysing outcomes data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage a team to provide a safe, customer-first service.
• Manage a service to meet contractual requirements and budget targets.
• Plan and deliver staff rotas and recruit as needed.
• Develop induction and ongoing development plans for colleagues.
• Produce reports and ensure health, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Build stakeholder relationships and promote Riverside as the preferred provider.
