Job summary

Building Recruitment Co Ltd in Canterbury is seeking a Housing Management Assistant on a temporary basis. You will help ensure supported accommodation is safe, well-maintained and welcoming, working with Homeless & Prevention Coaches and external partners to assist vulnerable people.

The role is 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £13.85 per hour plus holiday pay (£15.52). Temporary until December, with potential extension, and a driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Experience with housing management, health & safety or housing law preferred.
• Experience supporting homeless or vulnerable people is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out property, health & safety and compliance checks.
• Support residents with practical housing management.
• Report and follow up repairs, damage and maintenance issues.
• Manage tenancy and licence agreements and explain residents’ responsibilities.
• Liaise with landlords, Housing Associations, Local Authorities and other agencies.
• Maintain accurate housing, financial and administrative records.
• Build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and the local community.
