Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking a dedicated Supported Accommodation Officer to help people living in supported housing address barriers and build life skills toward more independent living. You will work with housing, social care, health and voluntary partners to assess needs, arrange referrals, placements and ongoing support, while maintaining accurate records and delivering person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, homelessness, supported accommodation or related services.
• Experience with vulnerable adults, safeguarding, GDPR, and partnership working is desirable.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and work with multiple partners.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to access and sustain supported accommodation through referrals, assessments and ongoing support.
• Work with accommodation providers and other agencies to meet needs and achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor placements.
• Contribute to effective accommodation pathways across homelessness and supported housing.
